Immersion programme
Objectives & programme
This is the most intensive programme available, designed for people who need to achieve a functional level of French quickly for professional reasons.
Students join a group from the intensive programme corresponding to their level, as well as attending 14 one-to-one lessons per week (goals, duration and timetable drawn up with the Head of the French Language Department).
Theme-based language workshops promote faster progress in a specific field, with options including oral and written communications, vocabulary, grammar, culture, phonetics and preparation for the DELF/DALF/TCF tests,
18 group lessons corresponding to the student’s level
8 themed language workshops
14 one-to-one lessons
Participants who have fulfilled attendance requirements will receive a certificate at the end of their course, signed by CAVILAM – Alliance française along with a detailed skills evaluation.
A readily available range of free resources:
University media library (computer, video and DVD resources)
Self-study centre for language work using special software
Wi-Fi coverage across the campus

Courses start every Monday at all levels, except for complete beginners.
Complete beginner courses start on the following dates in 2014: 6 January – 3 February – 3 March – 31 March – 28 April – 26 May – 30 June – 15 July – 28 July – 11 August – 1 September – 29 September – 3 November – 1 December – 5 January (2015)
There will be no lessons on the following public holidays in 2014: 1 January – 21 April – 1 May – 8 May – 29 May – 9 June – 14 July – 11 November – 25 December
